Books worth money at buyback

The Ventura College Bookstore is having its Cash for Books event beginning Thursday, May 8, through Thursday, May 14.  Students can sell back textbooks and get back up to 50 percent of their original purchase price.

In order to receive cash for a book, there cannot be a newer edition available and the professor must still be using the book for the next semester. Workbooks, spiral-bound or loose leaf books will not be accepted either.

“The only other conditions that aren’t accepted are water damage and missing covers,” said Rae Ann Lappo, operations assistant at the VC bookstore.

The Cash for Books buyback will be held in the former Student Services building. Hours will be:

1. •9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. May 8
   

2. •9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. May 9
   

3. •9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. May 12 through 14
   

4. •9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 15
