Gallery 2 showcases faculty work of art

By Tim Chaparro

Bright colors, mixed shapes and a variety of artistic expression: The annual exhibit by the Ventura College arts faculty is currently displayed in Gallery 2. The exhibit will continue until March 26.

More than 23 faculty artists are displaying their art in the exhibit. This exhibit “does not have a universal theme,” said Thomasita Valenzuela, an assistant at the gallery. Instead, the show displays a variety of art. The pieces include paintings, mixed media, photography, ceramics and drawing, among other areas.

Gallery 2 is open to view the exhibition from noon to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

For more information on the faculty exhibition and changes of hours, contact Kate Martin, gallery director, at kate@katemartin.com or at (805) 648-8974.
